PINEAE GREENHOUSES, INC. Nursery/Greenhouse Worker (Temporary) in OGDEN, Utah

Temporary Need: 3/9/24 - 11/30/24. Thirty (30) full-time, seasonal, temporary Nursery/Greenhouse Workers needed. Wage is $16.63/hour. Hours: 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri, 7am-5pm. No experience required. Able to lift 40 lbs. Work site: Ogden, UT. Duties: Take inventory, grade plants; dig; plant, cultivate and harvest; lift, carry and load/unload nursery stock; move or load supplies and any other manual tasks involved in the production or harvesting of nursery stock and the maintenance of field and other production areas. Exposure to extreme temp, repetitive movements, extensive pushing, pulling walking and frequent stooping Involves lifting and carrying of 40 lbs frequently. Terms and conditions of employment: May be required to take post hire random drug and/or alcohol tests, at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination. Must provide employment eligibility documentation (I9 verification) upon hire. Employer will furnish, without cost, all tools, supplies, or equipment required in the performance of work. The employer will provide, at no cost to the worker, Workers' Compensation coverage or private insurance which is equal to Workers' Compensation laws for comparable employment. The employer guarantees to offer the worker employment for a total number of work days equal to at least 3/4's of the total work period beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or advertised contractual first day of need. Whichever is later to occur, and ending on the expiration date specified. Transportation Provided. After worker has completed 50% of work contract period, employer shall reimburse worker for reasonable costs incurred by the worker for transportation and daily subsistence from the place from which the worker has come to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract, employer will pay reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence (travel reimbursement subsistence will be the minimum amount of $15.46 without receipts per 24-hour period of travel and the maximum amount will be $59.00 per day with receipts) from the place of employment to the place from which the worker departed to work for the employer. except when the worker will not be returning to the place of recruitment, due to subsequent employment with another employer who agrees to pay such costs. in which case this employer only pays for the transportation to the next job. The amount of the transportation payment will be equal to the most economical and reasonable similar common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved. Free transportation will be provided from the housing location to the work site and return each day. The offered wage equals or exceeds the highest of the prevailing wage issued and determined by DOL for the time period the work is performed. This job is in connection with a future H-2A labor certification application.
