Aerotek Maintenance Technician - Nights in Ogden, Utah

Maintenance Technician

$34.50-$37.00/hour | Full-time | North Ogden, UT

We are seeking a well-rounded mechanic with experience in a manufacturing setting and experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair. Our client leads the copper wire cable industry in product innovation, resolving customer issues to enhance field efficiency. With over 100 years in business, our client continue to grow and expand. Your work will involve maintaining and repairing heavy machinery, electrical equipment, and control panels on both new and aged equipment, including extruders, wire drawing, jacketing, and wiring lines.

Candidates must have basic welding skills and the ability to follow prints. Previous automation experience is highly preferred. While PLC troubleshooting and programming are preferred, they are not required. Candidates must bring their own set of basic tools, including wrenches, hammers, pliers, multimeter, and pry bars. We offer a $200 reimbursement on tools for our mechanics each year.

Job Description

  • Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair on heavy machinery, electrical equipment, and control panels, including extruders, wire drawing, jacketing, and wiring lines.

  • Conduct regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of both new and aged equipment in a manufacturing setting.

  • Utilize root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues, supporting innovation and efficiency in the production process.

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to implement standard and new approaches for creating effective solutions to enhance field efficiency.

  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

Shifts

  • 6:00pm-6:00am | 2-2-3 schedule

Qualifications

  • Experience in mechanical and troubleshooting and repair

  • Experience PLC troubleshooting and programming

  • Basic welding skills

  • Ability to follow prints

  • Previous automation experience is highly preferred
