WEBER HUMAN SERVICES Certified Case Manager/Peer Support Specialist (ARS) in OGDEN, Utah

Weber Human Services (WHS), located in Ogden, Utah serves a growing urban population residing in Weber and Morgan Counties.

WHS was organized by a cooperative agreement between the Weber and Morgan county governments to serve as the local authority for the provision of their substance abuse, mental health and senior service programs.

This position will be on the ARS Team (Addiction and Recovery Services)

Case Manager (CM) Duties: Providing targeted case management and skills development services to clients with Substance Use Disorders and co-occurring disorders. Link clients to needed resources and coordinate service delivery with interdisciplinary team as well with other community providers. Advocate with clients. Provide services in the office and community. Complete and submit timely documentation for state reporting program. Attend trainings, team meetings, supervisions, and any other duties that may be assigned. Attend community trainings or conferences as requested and seek education/training pertaining to Peer Support.

Peer Support Specialist (PSS) Duties: Act as a support, mentor, and coach for clients working in addiction and recover services. Make and keep regular appointments with clients and support the client's progress using approved intervention models. This position also supports clients who have a dual diagnosis. The PSS may teach clients in Peer Support Groups. They will advocate with clients to community partners and may assist clients attend outside appointments. PSS will support clients as a peer when clients experience crisis moments, and engaged the client in healthy, recovery based activities.

They will have knowledge of adequate documentation standards and adhere to those standards. They will attend staff meetings and individual supervision as scheduled. Attend community trainings or conferences as requested and seek education/training pertaining to Peer Support.

CM/PSS will spend a minimum of 80% of their time interacting directly with clients and 20% in team meetings and trainings.

• High School Diploma • Lived experience with at least one year recovered at the time of the application. • PSS certified or willingness to get certified (training available through WHS) • Certified Case Manager or willingness to get certified (training available through WHS) • If SSW licensed, must maintain license by meeting all requirements of licensure including obtaining requisite CEU's. • Must pass background check • Working understanding of working with adults in substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, and knowledge of Criminal Justice system.

Must be willing to complete and criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
