SUMMARY
The AP Finance Specialist will provide accounting and finance services in support of the organization's business objective. The Accounts Payable Finance Specialist is responsible for assisting in invoice processing through AP Advantage, including entry of invoices, problem analysis and resolution.
YOUR IMPACT
Utilize AP automation tool to drive invoice processing, approvals, efficiencies, automation and compliance
Review of correspondence and exception inbox
Data entry into payable systems
Processing of vendor credit memos
Provide assistance to facilitate the recording of expenditures
Assist with month-end tasks specifically journal entries, accruals and reconciliations when needed
Constant cooperation with Accounting team
Communication with internal and external stakeholders
Communicate higher level / more complex issues to Manager
Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of basic Accounting concepts.
Experience in accounting and financial systems specifically in Accounts Payable module
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel
Experience in interfacing with vendors and departments in resolving payment issues
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:
Functional knowledge of the AP accounting processes
Associates Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance
Knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Understanding of internal control elements
Good written and oral communication skills
Highly organized
Ability to meet strict deadlines
Excellent customer service skills
Performance Measures
Speed and accuracy of processing supplier invoices and employee expense reimbursement requests
Compliance effectiveness
Performance metrics for process and employee performance
