JOB SUMMARY:

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide nursing care to beneficiaries with moderate to severe mental health conditions in community or home settings.

Perform basic medical diagnostics (blood pressure, glycaemia, saturation, ECG, etc.) and record the findings as per IRC protocol. Provide self-care tips to the patients.

Dispense drugs prescribed from doctor, and explains to patient’s modality of use as per prescription.

In close collaboration with Psychologist, work on ensuring physical and mental health and wellbeing for most vulnerable beneficiaries, through daily home-visits.

Assess specific vulnerabilities of beneficiaries through MHPSS Mobile Units and develop tailored case management strategies accordingly.

Keep comprehensive medical records of all the patients attended through the MHPSS Mobile Unit.

Contributes to elaboration of schedules, routes and supplies for the MHPSS Mobile Unit.

Works closely with Doctor and Pharmacist to ensure smooth spending, ordering and refilling of stock of medicines and supplies of the MHPSS Mobile Unit.

Monitor and report on the community's public health status, offering advice and developing strategies to enhance sanitary and epidemiological conditions..

Participates in the information management and data collection for the MHPSS Mobile Units.

Contributes to developing and implements strategies for improving access, quality standards, effectiveness, and participation based on statistical results, evaluations, surveys, and feedback from patients.

Performs other duties as assigned by line manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in Nursing or other health related discipline.

Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in practicing nursing in clinical or outpatient setting, with extensive experience in palliative and home care. Experience in working with psychiatric patients is an asset.

Previous experience in health programs and NGO experience are preferred.

Ability to work within a team structure, flexible, and can cope with stressful workloads and working with limited resources

Fluency in Ukrainian and Russian is required, and basic knowledge in English is desirable.

Proficiency in IT skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is essential for tasks such as data collection, mapping updates, and providing detailed weekly reports on outreach activities.

REPORTING LINES

Position reports to Senior Health Officer.

Closely collaborate with Other members of MHPSS Mobile Unit (Psychologist, Social Worker and Psychiatrist), Pharmacist and Protection Teams working in the area.
