Robert Half Medical Office Manager in Odenton, Maryland

Description

We are currently in search of a Medical Office Manager to join our team in Odenton, Maryland. The Medical Office Manager will be pivotal in ensuring the efficient operation of our healthcare facility, providing exceptional support to our staff, physicians, and patients. This role involves a variety of tasks ranging from managing a team, administrative duties to customer service, all aimed at promoting a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure exceptional customer service by warmly welcoming patients and addressing their needs and expectations

• Take charge of training employees and providing continuous follow-up to ensure they stay on task

• Handle patient check-ins and check-outs, as well as assist in rooming patients during busy periods and staff absences

• Oversee insurance verification processes, form completion, and document scanning

• Manage incoming calls, return calls, and take messages for providers

• Oversee the management of office supplies, ensuring inventory levels are properly tracked

• Coordinate scheduling procedures and participate in all staff meetings

• Handle HR responsibilities such as tracking Paid Time Off (PTO), payroll processing, staff recruitment and dismissal, and employee training

• Assist in improving office processes and handle customer service complaints

• Oversee accounts receivable, billing, and data entry tasks, and ensure proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other medical office procedures

• Ensure the office is open and close as per schedule and provide direction to staff in handling multiple situations simultaneously.

Requirements

• Prior experience in an office management position in a healthcare environment

• Experience and knowledge in billing procedures

• Capable of performing data entry tasks with accuracy

• Skilled in Microsoft Excel for various administrative tasks

• Understanding and familiarity with medical office procedures

• Experience working in a medical office setting

• Demonstrated ability in management roles
