Are you an energetic people leader with passion for driving DevOps and CI/CD? We are seeking an experienced and inspiring R&D Software People Manager to lead our talented team of engineers. Your expertise in DevOps and CI/CD will drive the development of cutting-edge Robotics Software while nurturing a culture of growth and inclusivity.

Work in the heart of our R&D organization

As our new Software Manager, you will be part of the world biggest Cobot Hub, located in Odense, in the heart of our R&D organization. You will become part of a leadership team consisting of four R&D managers and teams, that drives quality culture, process, and tools across our empowered product teams. You will have approximately ten talented and passionate engineers and students reporting to you. The team drives Software Quality governance by:

  • CI/CD tools and infrastructure, Test Automation, Release Cycle optimization and Release Coordination

  • Champions DevOps practices and CI/CD methodologies

  • Drives the implementation and optimization of CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless and efficient software delivery

  • Collaborates cross-functional and integrates DevOps practices across the development lifecycle

    As manager you will foster a positive, open and can-do mindset. Your primary task will be to drive an inspiring setting where performance, motivation and employee development are key elements.

    You will define and drive the strategy to mature and scale the software quality and DevOps way of working. These are some of the tasks we expect will define your focus:

  • Collaborating with a diverse engineering organization to understand the needs and then support your team to deliver

  • Affecting and implementing strategic initiatives for the CI/CD technology stack and services. Including live metrics on the engine room status, as well as quality metrics for the software product

  • Maturing quality governance to foster quality culture, processes, and tools. This could be driving Requirement Coverage, Test Coverage, Traceability with requirement and Test Cases

    As people leader, you play an essential role as decision-maker and role model. To lead the team of technical specialists, you need to possess technical domain knowledge to understand their work, as well as stakeholder needs. Setting the direction for the teams and their work, we expect a structured approach to your tasks. Moreover, you:

  • Hold a BSc’s or MSc’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field

  • Have 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role

  • Proven experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools and methodologies

  • Have worked with defining strategy for your area, translation of company strategy to initiatives, e.g. by OKR’s or similar

  • Perhaps you have experience with remote management of either directs or stakeholders

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment, incl. demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
