Our Client, a leading contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) for pharmaceutical and biotech companies, is seeking a Microbiologist II to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the development and commercialization of innovative medicines, from early-stage development through final production.
Pay: $75k-$85.5k/yr, depending on experience
Shift: 3rd; Sun-Thur 11pm-7:30am
Responsibilities
Execute cGMP testing and report findings in the Quality Control Microbiology Lab.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior lab personnel.
Uphold adherence to GMP standards, safety guidelines, and protocols for handling controlled substances.
Manage equipment maintenance, housekeeping duties, and inventory control.
Perform microbiological analysis on diverse sample types utilizing specified methodologies.
Conduct environmental monitoring and quality assessments of media, reagents, and identification materials.
Document deviations, out-of-specification results, and corrective measures in accordance with SOPs.
Support special projects, data management, report generation, and controlled document updates.
Conduct microbial identifications manually and via automated systems.
Foster effective communication within the department and across teams.
Ensure compliance with good documentation practices in lab records and review for accuracy.
Coordinate activities with Operations, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs departments.
Generate purchase orders as needed and maintain schedule flexibility.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in biology, health science, or microbiology.
2-5 years of experience in cGMP microbiology with strong expertise in testing, analysis, and documentation.
