CNA: Certified Nursing Assistant
Hourly Rate UP TO $29.44/hr
Full Time - Part Time - Per Diem
CNA's (Full and Part Time) may qualify for special Weekend Warrior program, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday incentive rate as outlined:
Premium - Saturday and Sunday incentive, $1.50 per hour Shift differential - 2nd Shift = $1.00 and 3rd Shift = $2.00
30% Weekend Warrior rate for full time CNA's on base hourly rate in addition to weekend incentive and shift differential (up to $29.44/hour)!

UMC is currently seeking a C.N.A. for The Shores, our Senior Care Community located in Ocean City, NJ within picturesque Cape May County.

The CNA: Certified Nursing Assistant performs various non-professional nursing care activities and related services necessary to care for the personal needs and comfort of the residents.
Requirements for a CNA: Certified Nursing Assistant:
High School Diploma or GED
6 months experience in a long term care setting
Current and valid CNA certification in New Jersey
Responsibilities for a CNA: Certified Nursing Assistant:
Perform personal care activities for residents
Completes daily skin checks and reports changes to nurse immediately
Participates in the dining experience, i.e., serving, clearing, cutting & feeding- based on residents' strengths
Shares resident preferences with other staff using appropriate communication methods
Maintains continuity of care daily by timely documenting and communicating care tasks completed with each individual resident assigned in the point of care kiosk
Attends and actively participates with Interdisciplinary Team Care Plan meeting to identify residents' strength based approaches and skills for assigned residents
Assist residents with the use of adaptive equipment, including but not limited to: walkers, wheelchairs, eyeglasses, dentures and hearing aids
Understands, uses and follow restorative nursing principles and practices to assist resident in maintaining their optimal level of function and maximize their strengths
Reads and understands the individualized summary plan for residents, and provides support to the residents according to their summary and care plan
Observes and identifies residents' changing needs and condition at first indication, and reports immediately to nursing as appropriate
Takes and records vital signs & weights as instructed by nurse. Makes rounds several times each shift to identify residents needing assistance
Perform treatment task under the supervision of the licensed nurse and therapist
Seeks opportunity to learn for personal growth: completes in-services training programs, attends nursing staff meetings and mandatory assigned training
