SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITES :
The Master Scheduler will be responsible for developing and maintaining the master schedule for production activities. This role ensures that all production processes are aligned with the company's goals and customer requirements. The role will also have managerial responsibility for planner/buyers within group. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of production planning and scheduling.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain the master production schedule to ensure timely delivery of products.
Coordinate with various departments (e.g. Sourcing, operations, customer service, sales) to gather necessary information for scheduling.
Identifying potential schedule disruptions and developing contingency plans to mitigate any adverse effects on production.
Monitoring production status and ensuring scheduling adherence, reporting discrepancies and variances to higher management.
Maintaining a comprehensive record of all scheduling activities, changes, and outcome assessments.
Conducting routine analysis on production output versus the master schedule to ensure targets are being met.
Ensure that all scheduling activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
Communicate schedule changes and updates to relevant stakeholders.
Prepare reports on production performance and schedule adherence.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance scheduling efficiency.
Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure materials and resources are available for production.
Conduct regular meetings with production teams to review schedules and address any potential conflicts.
Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks associated with production delays or disruptions.
Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to scheduling and production efficiency.
Assist in capacity planning to ensure the production facility can meet future demand.
Provide training and support to team members on scheduling processes and tools.
Maintain accurate records of production schedules, changes, and related documentation.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline scheduling and production processes.
All other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES
Excellent S&O planning and time management skills.
Strong knowledge of production planning and scheduling principles.
Proficiency in scheduling software and tools (e.g., ERP systems).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Master Scheduler or in a similar role.
