FirstService Residential Landscape Supervisor in Ocala, Florida

Job Overview:

Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of their company’s landscaping projects. They ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget, while also ensuring that quality standards are met.

Landscape supervisors may oversee a variety of different projects at any given time. The Landscape Supervisor works to create an environment where staff is involved and enthusiastic, with open communications and respect for themselves, members, guests and the property.

Your Responsibilities:Â

  • Reviewing plans and designs created by designers to ensure compliance with zoning regulations and city codes
  • Communicating with clients to discuss project goals and expectations
  • Overseeing the hiring of subcontractors as needed for tasks such as mowing, pruning, or irrigation repair work
  • Ensuring that all safety procedures are followed on site during construction or installation projects
  • Coordinating with other team members to schedule work activities and track progress
  • Maintaining records of work performed on each project including expenses and materials used
  • Managing the project budget by ordering supplies and labor as needed
  • Consulting with architects, designers, engineers, and contractors to ensure compatibility between construction projects and site conditions
  • Scheduling and coordinating the work of laborers and other staff members to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget limitations

Skills & Qualifications:

Â

  • Well versed in all aspects of our operation (Landscape Construction, Irrigation, and Landscape Maintenance.
  • A 4-year degree in Horticulture or other related field and/or equivalent experience. (preferred but not required)
  • 3-5 years of management experience
  • Good Communication
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus
  • Maintain valid FL Drivers License
  • Excellent organizational skills and project management
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced written communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office Skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others.
  • Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in         acceptable formats and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple programs and assignments effectively.
  • Ability to work on complex and confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness.
  • Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships.

 Physical Requirements:Â

  • Lift, reach, bend, twist, push, pull, squat, grasp and use arm-hand coordination on a consistent basis
  • Have the ability to lift 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Be able to work weekends and holidays, mornings and evenings as business demands.
  • Must be able to stand for up to four hours.

 Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm

As a full-time non-exempt associate, you will be eligible for full comprehensive benefits to include your choice of multiple medical plans, dental, and Vision. Compensation: $24.00 - $28.50 Hourly
