Canadian Tire Senior Vendor Risk Analyst in Oakville, Ontario

What you'll do

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Vendor Risk Analyst reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). As a Vendor Risk Analyst, you will play an integral role in supporting Canadian Tire Bank’s (CTB) Third Party Risk Management Program.

The successful candidate will work with business partners across the organization to manage the day to day third party processes and provide second line oversight and challenge of third party related activities, to ensure compliance with the third party risk management framework and regulatory requirements.

  • Support the Manager, ERM in managing CTB’s third party risk management framework and day to day third party processes and activities.

  • Manage and maintain the Bank’s third-party software application (ProcessUnity) to ensure the effectiveness of third-party processes.

  • Conduct monitoring and second line oversight of third-party related activities to ensure compliance with the Bank’s Third-Party Risk Management Framework and policy.

  • Lead weekly third-party related meetings with internal stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to schedule third party assessments.

  • Provide guidance, support and subject matter expertise on the Bank’s third-party related policies, processes, and software application.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of the ProcessUnity platform and functionality.

  • Stay up to date on industry trends, regulatory changes and best practices relating to third party risk management to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to maintain and enhance the third-party risk management framework and application.

  • Conduct training and awareness sessions for internal stakeholders on third party risk management policies, procedures, and application use.

  • Be a subject matter expert on the Bank’s Third-Party Risk Management Framework and supporting policies, processes and application.

  • Review and monitor activities and reporting within the third-party software and follow up with internal stakeholders as required.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline.

  • 5+ years of experience as a risk analyst or an equivalent business-related role, specifically focusing on third party risk management in the banking or financial services industry.

  • Strong knowledge of banking regulations and industry best practices related to third party risk management.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.

  • Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products, especially Excel and Word.

  • Experience with third party risk management software is an asset.

  • Enthusiastic learner with well-developed organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team of risk professionals.
