Aston Carter Cash Application Representative in Oakville, Ontario


RESPONSIBILITIES: • Daily posting of payments by cash, cheque, credit card, online business banking and EFT • Reconciliation of returned items and chargebacks • Investigation and resolution of cash application issues • Communication with 3rd party vendor regarding EFT payments with remittance details • High volume data entry in multiple ERPs, AS400, D365 and JDE preferred. • Process and accurately apply all incoming payments to customer accounts from various sources including: o Cheque process through scanners. o Credit Cards processing and posting. o Electronic Lockbox o Wire Transfers Payments. • Identify and communicate discrepancies in payments received with department credit analysts • Maintain necessary filing • Assist in daily and monthly cash reconciliation process ROLE REQUIREMENTS: • Minimum 1-year experience in accounting field preferred and/or completed courses in accounting or bookkeeping • General accounting knowledge. • High School degree or college diploma in business administration or accounting preferred • Advanced Computer skills including MS Word and Excel • Excellent communication skills • Proactive and self-motivated • Detail oriented with strong follow-up skills • Strong attention to detail to ensure proper posting and clearing of outstanding items • Team player with positive attitude who takes initiative and has a strong work ethic • Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines • Strong interpersonal with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in a professional and competent manner. • Ability to work overtime at month-end. • ERP software experience (D365 an asset)
