Job Title: Welder
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Barge Welder experienced in Stick welding and MIG welding. The job involves repairing barges that come up and down the river, checking them in, and fixing them onsite. The machine shop provides precise materials needed for the repairs.
Responsibilities
Perform Stick and MIG welding on barges.
Conduct grinding tasks as required.
Read and interpret blueprints and welding prints.
Fabricate and fit structures as needed.
Utilize grinding and torch techniques effectively.
Work with the machine shop to obtain necessary materials for repairs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience with MIG welding
Previous experience with stick welding
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Shipyard experience preferred, but not required
Shift
6:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday
Employees will also work every other weekend
10-24 hours of overtime a week will be mandatory
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00
