Service Source Manager – Compliance and Investigations in Oakton, Virginia

The Manager – Compliance and Investigations will lead independent compliance reviews and investigations across ServiceSource. This role will report to the Vice President, Risk and Compliance and regularly interact with senior leaders to plan and perform on-site compliance reviews. The manager will serve as the focal point for internal investigations, including coordination and performance of investigative activities.

Salary Range: 110-115K

Primary Duties

  • Compliance Reviews – Conduct on-site compliance reviews across all business portfolios and companies, including contract operations, rehabilitation programs, and corporate support functions. Coordinate closely with leadership to guide a risk-based approach to compliance reviews. Assess workplace culture and managerial competency during on-site reviews.

  • Internal Investigations – Develop investigative plans and conduct investigations for escalated employee relations matters and any complaints regarding potential noncompliance, fraud, waste or abuse. Produce clear, concise, well-reasoned and fact-based investigative reports and recommendations. Maintain timeline of investigative activities for as-needed updates to senior management.

  • Proactive Risk Assessment – Develop criteria for identifying and analyzing trends in compliance review and investigative problem areas and methodologies for ensuring sufficiency of reviews/investigations. Maintain scheduled of planned review activities, and regularly update in response to emerging and identified risks.

  • After Action Follow Up – Ensure that all necessary actions resulting from compliance reviews and investigations are adhered to and completed with a sense of urgency. Collaboratively

  • Facilitate resolution of employee issues and concerns in conjunction with HR, the employee and management by providing guidance and consultation regarding problem solving, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance and litigation avoidance.

    Additional Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with site leadership across ServiceSource to facilitate effective reviews and investigations.

  • Understand and actively promote proper confidentiality of information throughout the performance of duties.

  • Regularly report to senior management on investigative plans and outcomes. Serve as a focal point for cross functional efforts to address any potential outcomes from investigations.

  • Work closely with Human Resources, Rehabilitation, and Operations teams to effectively navigate complex employee relations matters.

  • Ensure that all recommendations and actions are supported by fact-based evidence.

  • Actively participate in quarterly compliance meetings with senior leadership. Provide updates and recommended actions on trends identified through compliance reviews and investigations.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of laws, regulations, and internal policies that create risk to the organization and incorporate into compliance review planning and performance.

  • Initiate and facilitate changes to improve services through effective communication, collaboration, and interdisciplinary problem solving.

  • Promote a strong culture of compliance and regulatory excellence throughout the organization.

  • Provide training to diverse groups on various compliance related topics.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications: Education, Experience and Certification(s)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required.

  • Obtain and maintain a (DoD) security clearance required.

  • Seven (7) or more years of related work experience at a Government Contractor preferred.

  • Ideal candidates will have experience in human services or related fields.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to travel extensively in performance of duties, at times with short notice required.

  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks according to deadlines and deliver work on schedule with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively interact with management and customers.

  • Highly proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.

  • Detail-oriented and able to carry out work with the highest levels of accuracy.
