Amerlux Pre-Sales Project Support Administrator in Oakland, New Jersey

Amerlux, a pioneer in the lighting industry for over 35 years, is seeking a Pre-Sales Project Support Administrator to join our inside sales support team . This position works four days per week in our Oakland, NJ office and one day from home.

As the Pre-Sales Project Support Administrator you will be responsible for providing the Amerlux Sales Team with inside support to help drive revenue growth. Responsibilities include coordination of customer lighting application needs with company product offerings from a technical services perspective as well as engaging and identifying opportunities. Become well versed in Amerlux products to provides lighting application and consulting services to current and prospective customers thru lighting layouts, takeoffs and AGI photometric calculation services. This role requires interfacing with installing electrical contractors, specifiers and end-users as well as Amerlux Engineering, Production and Customer Support teams to provide pre-sale technical support in regards to troubleshooting, installation and operational product specifications.

Key Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Actively pursue, support and close sales opportunities under the direction of the Inside Sale Support Manager to meet revenue and growth goals.

  • Serve as the point of contact for technical and product support point of contact (Phone, E-mail) to customers, outside sales and Customer Service for initial pre-sale.

  • Identify trends and areas of opportunity to proactively provide customer and cross team information and training that will improve the customer experience and generate future revenue.

  • Provide photometric calculations via AGi32 photometric software to help secure future customer product purchases based on technical sales.

  • Learn and develop skills in terms of product, manufacturing and new technologies to help educate the entire sales team and reps to secure future product sales.

  • Attend customer project meetings to represent Amerlux as needed.

  • Perform administrative and management functions in the Inside Sales Department.

  • Other duties as deemed appropriate by the Company and management.

    Skills & Experience Include:

  • BS/BA or equivalent experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal and communication skills.

  • Project management and strategic sales support experience.

  • 5 years’ experience in the Lighting industry, including a technical background.

  • Expertise in reading and interpreting AGI32 Photometric software and AutoCAD drawings.
