Senior Real Estate Project Manager
Non-Profit Organization | Oakland, CA
Temp-to-Hire $36-41/hr on contract
About the Role:
The Senior Real Estate Project Manager will take charge of leading the development and acquisition of affordable and commercial real estate projects in Oakland, CA. This is a highly impactful role, driving projects from concept through completion while engaging with the community and securing necessary funding to support sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead project planning, design, and implementation across various stages.
Oversee project budgets, timelines, and schedules to ensure successful execution.
Manage construction activities and collaborate with property management teams.
Engage and maintain relationships with community members and key stakeholders.
Identify and secure funding from both public and private sources to support project initiatives.
Advocate for policies that foster community-focused development.
Supervise and mentor junior team members to build organizational capacity.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
A minimum of 7 years of experience in real estate development, particularly in affordable and commercial projects in Oakland.
Comprehensive understanding of real estate principles, finance structures, and community development strategies.
Experience with Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) and New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC) is highly desirable.
Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Compensation and Benefits:
Contract Role: $30–$40 per hour for approximately three months.
Permanent Opportunity: Salary up to $91,000 annually upon successful hire.
