AnthroMed Education School Social Worker in Oak Forest, Illinois

School Social Worker 2024-2025

Our team is currently seeking a full-time School Social Worker who wants to make an impact at a developing and team-oriented school in Oak Forest, IL for the 2024-2025 school year. The selected SSW will work with K-12th grade students at a Self-Contained Therapeutic Day School in a CD Program (communication development program). The SSW will manage a caseload of students with autism, social communication, AAC, and visual support needs.

Job Duties Include:  

  • Work full-time, Monday-Friday.

  • Support K-12th-grade students in a self-contained environment.

  • Provide services and support to students with autism, as well as social communication, AAC, and visual support needs.

  • Work with parents and children in a confidential and caring manner and assists the family, school, and community in any way required to bridge gaps between family and schools.

  • Fulfill all the responsibilities of the IEP: timely and current progress monitoring, uses progress monitoring to guide instruction, etc.  

  • Complete casework assessments and services and communicates them to students and their families.

  • Assess, identify, and provide clinical interventions to students with emotional, social, attendance, and/or behavioral concerns within the general education population.

  • Complete classroom observations and functional behavior assessments on identified students.

  • Utilize student performance data as a guide for decision-making.

  • Participate in and contribute to a school culture that focuses on improving student learning.

  • Attend meetings and professional development activities as required.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Job Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work

  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)

  • Endorsement in Social Work

  • Experience supporting Elementary students is a plus, but not required.
