Overview Service Operations Tools (SOT) program is a part of Business Operations (BizOps) group within Mastercard, which is leading the DevOps transformation at Mastercard through our tooling and by being an advocate for change and standards throughout the development, quality, release, and product organizations. The team's mission is to obsess on the needs of Business operations group to automate operational activities, reduce manual toil and tie everything together through custom applications. Engineers working in this team are experts in software development and DevOps toolchain to build and continually enhance DevOps experience and productivity at Mastercard. Our program follows an iterative approach to development with teams located globally. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing our software solutions. You will have the opportunity to work on complex and innovative projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive technical excellence and deliver high-quality, proactively adding scalability while continuing to add enhanced value to these products.

Role

As a Senior Software Engineering at Mastercard, you are expected to perform the following general duties: * Responsible for programming, testing, implementing, documenting, maintaining, and supporting applications in adherence with MasterCard standards, processes, and industry best practices. * Develop high quality, secure, scalable solutions based on technical requirements specifications and design artifacts within expected time and budget. * Perform requirement analysis, design, estimation, and development of tasks of increasingly complex nature which may require extensive research and analysis. * Develop application code and unit test in Java technologies, Spring boot, Rest Web Services, Angular or React. Exposure to Python will be an added advantage. * Communicate directly with team and project leaders to ensure scheduled due dates are met, while identifying emerging issues and recommending solutions for problems and independently perform assigned tasks.

All About You * Understanding of software engineering concepts and methodologies * Extensive experience developing secure, web-based applications in Java with Spring boot * Experience developing rontend solutions with Angular or React or other modern frameworks * Deep understanding of the importance of test automation and test tooling (e.g. Cypress, Browser stack) * Experience of cloud deployment patterns, tools, and operational best practices (e.g. Cloud Foundry, Dynatrace, Splunk) * Critical thinking and problem-solving skills * High-energy, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to handle multiple high-priority demands while driving consistent results. * Collaborative, communicative and engaged with team discussions, asking questions, mentoring juniors, and raising standards.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
