We are looking for a strong leader to help us build the next generation of distributed compute platform to enable the rapid growth of the LEGO Group. We are pushing the bar for what is possible as we strive to build a highly scalable and robust platform to support our need for compute and storage at our distributed locations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Foster reliability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, integrating technical expertise and strategic vision to build a world-class SRE practice.

  • Help define and deliver the Distributed Compute and Storage platforms of the LEGO Group.

  • Attract diverse talent and developer a team, of highly skilled engineers

  • Boost capabilities and drive the growth and personal development of engineers through mentoring and coaching.

  • Enable product teams to meet business needs by ensuring the right allocation of talent.

  • Develop a continuous learning culture and lead the team to success.

  • Work as part of international team of leaders building the core Hosting Solutions for the LEGO Group

Infrastructure Transformation is a key priority and an enabler of the digital success of the LEGO group. This capability is centrally placed to provide foundational services for all of the LEGO group and supports hundreds of teams today.

The team provides a series of core capabilities that enables engineers to be successful in delivering digital products as well as provide guidance and guardrails for how we build and operate critical business services at scale.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Strong seniority in working with Compute and storage platforms

  • Site Reliability Engineering experience

  • Experience with making people successful.

  • Passion for, and ability to, lead both people and technology.

  • Strong collaboration skills and a true great teammate

  • Hands-on experience with VM Ware

  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure or GCP

  • Knowledge and experience with SCRUM and Agile

  • Proficient in building scalable solutions

It would be a nice add on with experience in software development and in building DevOps teams.

Please Note: Location for this position is our manufacturing site in Nyíregyháza, Hungary, but no relocation assistance is offered for this position .
