What’s the role?
We're seeking a skilled Category Manager -Business & Professional Services to join our dynamic procurement team in Sydney.
Reporting to the General Manager of Procurement, you'll play a pivotal role in driving significant value across our diverse portfolio of Business & Professional Services such as - but not limited to- contingent workforce, travel, consulting, coaching services etc. As our business evolves, we're reimagining this category to enhance engagement with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies to optimise cost, risk, and service delivery.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to understand their evolving needs and align procurement solutions accordingly.
Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify innovative solutions, emerging trends, and potential cost-saving opportunities.
Sourcing & Negotiation: Lead sourcing initiatives, including RFPs, RFQs, and negotiations, to secure optimal contract terms and pricing.
Contract Management: Oversee contract performance, compliance, and renewals to ensure ongoing value and risk mitigation.
Project Management: Drive transformational procurement projects, from initiation to completion, to deliver significant business impact.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the procurement function.
Who are you?
A team playe r who has proven experience in category management within the properties and facilities management domain.
Own the Category: Take ownership of the category from a procurement perspective and help optimise its P&L, making strategic decisions and driving operational efficiencies.
Be a Subject Matter Expert: Develop deep expertise in various aspects of business and professional services, particularly in Travel, Human Services and consulting.
Embrace a Data-Driven Approach: Utilise strong analytical skills to inform decision-making and optimise performance.
Challenge the Status Quo: Foster innovation and continuous improvement by challenging conventional thinking and processes.
Build Strong Relationships: Effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, building trust and influencing outcomes.
