Henry Ford Health System Gift Shop Cashier- Part Time- Providence Hospital in Novi in Novi, Michigan

Schedule: Part Time- 32 hours per week- rotating shifts with some evenings & weekends expected- Gift Shop hours are M-F 9a-7:30p, Sat/Sun 10a-4p. Hours may vary based on needs.

GENERAL SUMMARY
Receive and disburse money for services.
Receive payment by cash, check, credit card and debit card and issue receipts, change, credits or refunds to customers.
Operate cash registers and ensure accurate and efficient accounts of all transactions.
Balance cash receipts and count cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure correct balance.
In retail setting, assist with the receiving, unpacking, stocking, displaying, pricing, and sale of merchandise.
Maintain clean and organized checkout area.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. - Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Engaging personality. -
Three years previous retail experience preferred.
Basic computer skills to operate the register.
Basic math skills for sales transactions.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
