Electrical Engineer – Automotive Infotainment Systems

Position Summary : We are seeking an Early Career Electrical Engineer to join our team, focusing on system-level engineering and electrical problem analysis for automotive infotainment systems. The role includes working on AM/FM, SDARS, Audio, Bluetooth, WiFi, and USB features.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create validation plans and understand customer requirements.

  • Analyze electrical/system issues, schematics, block diagrams, and component datasheets.

  • Evaluate bench and vehicle level log files for issue analysis and support customer issues.

  • Capture and analyze data from LAN, LIN, and MOST bus, and internal bus data (I2C, etc.).

  • Adjust calibrations on LAN and test new software releases.

  • Perform radar evaluations and assist with other AE products as needed.

  • Lead installation of surround view systems in demo vehicles and support customer testing.

  • Operate test equipment such as signal generators, audio analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.

  • Serve as the main contact between the Product Development Team and customers, providing required information and support.

  • Conduct vehicle tests (functional, noise, reception, and CD skip tests), bench testing, and field testing.

  • Perform vehicle calibrations on audio systems.

  • Review and negotiate customer specifications and requirements.

  • Investigate and resolve engineering and quality issues, including analysis of warranty returns and customer plant fallouts.

  • Create technical reports, 5 phase reports, and 8D's, and prepare necessary documentation for customer engineering meetings.

  • Develop and maintain an open issue list and attend project-related meetings with customers.

  • Occasionally attend trade shows to stay familiar with the market.

  • Provide engineering support for manufacturing, particularly during product launch periods.

  • Test and adjust software calibrations, derive test procedures, and evaluate new software patches and system impacts.

  • Support customer quality system requirements and may perform market research and product planning duties.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related field.

  • Typically requires 0-2 years of experience for Entry Level role

  • Hands-on knowledge of electrical debugging tools such as oscilloscopes and voltmeters.

  • Preferred experience in automotive OEM/infotainment and hardware engineering with audio products.

  • Experience with Bluetooth technology.

  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

  • Ability to read schematics, perform hardware troubleshooting, and conduct tests and measurements.

  • Ability to prepare and perform technical presentations to OEMs.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Experience with PFMEA and MSA processes.
