Lineage Logistics Director, Investor Relations in Novi, Michigan

The professional in this position will be responsible for collaborating with the VP of Investor Relations to define IR strategies and programs and implement the associated programs to support the IR efforts on behalf of Lineage. Additionally, this professional will be expected to contribute to the following areas:

Strategic Investor Relations Counseling: The Director, Investor Relations will work with the VP of IR and outside counselors to ensure adherence to SEC regulations and compliance surveillance on financial reporting issues. They will stay current on market trends and opinions, provide strategic recommendations to the VP of IR and senior management, monitor media coverage, and advise the VP of IR on investor and financial market perceptions.

Proactive Investor Communications: The Director, Investor Relations will serve as a key interface with investors/shareholders and the buy- and sell-side communities. They will help strengthen and broaden shareholder interests, target specific constituencies, and manage the communication of critical investor information by building and maintaining relationships with the investment community.

Strategic Investor Relations Programming: The Director, Investor Relations will support the development of investor relations goals and objectives and manage the message content development of strategically driven programs targeted at the investment community. They will manage existing investor relationships and actively pursue the expansion of the prospective shareholder base.

Technical Responsibilities:

Analyst/Shareholder Interface: Serve as a key contact with the financial community to provide up-to-date information about events and market trends affecting Lineage, supporting its short- and long-term valuation goals.

Analyst Meetings/Dossier Preparation: Travel with the VP of IR and/or Executive Leadership Team to major financial centers to meet with current/prospective shareholders and prepare comprehensive “play books” for management about the individuals they will meet.

Investor Targeting Strategy and Programs: Support the development and management of a proactive investor targeting program to encourage investment in Lineage stock.

Quarterly Earnings Process: Support the quarterly earnings process and any Investor/Analyst Days, including drafting news releases and presentations, and collaborating with the VP of IR, CFO, and management team.

Investor Messaging, Materials Development & Website Oversight: Develop all printed and electronic presentation materials for investor-related settings and manage the investor relations portion of the corporate website.

Share Valuation Monitoring: Regularly monitor daily and weekly activity in terms of price movement and volume and advise management on strategies to address issues affecting Lineage and peer group stock valuation.

Investor/Financial Media Relations: Partner with the VP of IR and Corporate Communications on media-related activities related to financial markets and plan responses to major events impacting the Company.

ESG Messaging with Investors: Support all ESG related initiatives within the IR function, including: aligning of management and board perspectives on ESG with IR’s strategy; considering investors’ ESG-related concerns (including any shareholder proposals) and, as appropriate, addressing them through ongoing engagement and feedback, well ahead of proxy season; and ensuring that the company’s ESG/CSR goals are aligned with corporate strategy and clearly communicated to investors and other stakeholders.

External Agency Oversight: Work with the VP of IR on determining the appropriate use of external agencies to support the IR strategy and programming.

Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field is required.

  • An MBA, CFA, or equivalent advanced degree would be advantageous, although comparable work experience is acceptable.

Experience:

  • The successful candidate should have 10 or more years of experience in REIT investor relations, equity research, or investment banking, specifically focused on REITs, or a combination of these roles. This includes extensive finance-driven experience with publicly held REITs or significant involvement in capital markets and corporate finance, paired with senior-level investor relations responsibilities.

  • Strong analytical abilities, a solid foundation in corporate finance, and expertise in building models and understanding stock valuation metrics are crucial.

  • Strong understanding of the REIT industry, including market trends, regulatory environment, and financial metrics specific to REITs.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey financial information to a variety of audiences.

  • Proven track record in developing and managing relationships with Wall Street and analysts and demonstrated ability in influencing senior management.

Salary Range: $146,000 - $273,000
