Job Title: Industrial Painter
Job Description
The Painter sets up and operates machinery to coat products or materials with paint, oil, lacquer, varnish, shellac, or rust proofing agents. The Painter also paints items by hand as needed, mixes paints and solutions, regulates temperatures, and moves painted items to drying racks. Additionally, the Painter finishes coated surfaces by baking in an oven or polishing with sandpapers, pumice, or other finishing materials when needed. The Painter inspects completed work for conformance to specifications and quality, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate machinery to coat products or materials.
Paint items by hand as needed.
Mix paints and solutions, regulate temperatures, and move painted items to drying racks.
Finish coated surfaces by baking in oven or polishing with sandpapers, pumice, or other finishing materials.
Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications and quality.
Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Essential Skills
3-5 years of demonstrated painting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of all safety procedures pertaining to production/manufacturing painting environment.
Ability to multitask and work in a production environment with multiple product changeovers.
Self-starter with a positive attitude and team player mindset.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Automotive background is a plus.

Work Environment
Manufacturing environment. The company manufactures heavy metal containment systems. You will be working closely with the Plant Manager in a very fast-paced environment, where meeting production deadlines is essential.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00
