About the role:

Working within the PPS Estimating team, prepare customer quotations and designs for engineered waste water pumping station solutions.

The position will be responsible for responding to customer enquiries with detailed quotations and complete mechanical designs for sewage and storm water pumping station systems. Working closely with the Xylem Industry and Infrastructure sales team and Xylem delivery teams to deliver the highest standard of customer service.

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities

  • To support the Company in maintaining the highest possible standards of Health and Safety at Work, this in accordance with current legislation and policies laid down by the Company.

  • Interprete client’s requriements by reading detailed site drawings, and close communication with all parties.

  • Prepare quotations that provide our customer with the most balanced commercially advantageous and technical reliable solutions.

  • Use Xylem software packages to effectively cost and size equipment for each quotation.

  • Meet all KPI targets for response to customers on quotes and designs.

  • Occassional site visits supporting Xylem Sales or Engineering teams may be required.

  • Daily updating of Xylem reporting systems on quotations and designs. This includes the upkeep of PPS tracker spreadsheets and Salesforce.

  • Following PPS processes for the handover and order entry processes when orders are received.

  • To support colleagues in the Company, in particular across Regional and departmental boundaries to ensure that the Company's forecast sales goals are achieved or exceeded.

  • Provide technical customer support to assist onsite or inhouse Xylem teams, relating to PPS.

  • Promotion of the Company's products and its Service activities.

  • Follow existing work stream processes, whild using a Continuous Improvement mindset.

  • To support the Marketing Department with the provision of Customer information and data, using Salesforce CRM, and with the successful development/launch of new products.

Additional Responsibilities:

Any other duties, within your capabilities, as required by Management. i.e. troubleshooting customer issues, managing customer complaints, reacting to customer emergency requests.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

  • Commercial and Technical experience working within the Water Industry.

  • Experience working with customers in a consultive role.

  • Experience selling design solutions (including complex solutions)

  • Experience designing and/or selling centrifugal pumps and systems

  • Bachelor Degree (or higher), preferably in an Engineering discipline.

  • Must have a good understanding of Windows based computer programs, in particular Excel.

  • Experience of using a proprietary CRM system (Salesforce preferable).
