Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
We provide engineering services to architects, contractors, municipalities, healthcare, and other business organizations in the design, analysis, and documentation of MEP systems.
Responsibilities
Designing detailed plans and specifications for mechanical systems
Reviewing existing systems and processes to ensure compliance with standards and regulations
Making changes or corrections to existing designs per customer request
Preparing load calculations by determining the heating, cooling, and other load requirements for buildings
Developing efficient and effective systems for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, and fire safety
Overseeing projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
Working closely with electrical, civil, and structural engineers, as well as architects and contractors, to ensure efficient designs
Identifying and resolving issues that arise during the design or construction phase
Must Have Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
3-5 years of experience with HVAC systems in commercial buildings
Knowledge of U.S. building codes
Proficiency in AutoCAD
"Nice to have" Qualifications
Experience with Revit
Proficiency in design and mechanical systems
Work Environment
The company has offices in Muskegon and Traverse City.
Employees are preferred to be in the office 5 days a week - but can have flexibility once you're well adjusted - many people WFH 2 days a week.
As a smaller firm, you will be more involved with the entirety of the project.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
