Chobani Machine Operator - 1st Shift (Norton Shores, MI) in Norton Shores, Michigan

Summary:    A Machine Operator is an individual who is responsible for learning to operate multiple machines in either the Single Serve or Multi Serve departments including but not limited to Loader/Unloader, Depalletizer, Sleever, and Filler to support fluctuating production demands.    Shift Details: 1st Shift - Monday-Thursday - 5:00am-3:30pm + OT as needed   Job Responsibilities:    Operating the CIP and COP systems and Ionizer as the need arises. Ensure the safety and operation of all relevant machinery.  Responsible for startup and shutdown of all relevant machinery.  Maintaining accurate written production records.  Performing laboratory tests and monitoring weight control of products.  Responsible for the operation and compliance of the tap tone/x-ray.  Responsible for seam scope compliance checks.  Maintaining sanitary equipment and environment for all relevant areas.  Maintain PM Schedule.  Disassembling and reassembling filler and associated equipment for cleaning.  Troubleshooting minor issues and making repairs on all relevant machinery.  Must be willing to work on production lines and other areas to support production demands as necessary.   Job Requirements:    High School Diploma or GED preferred. 1 to 2 years of related experience and/or training.  Must have a mechanical aptitude and demonstrate abilities. Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.   Experience within the food and beverage industry is preferred.  Must be able to stand, walk, push or pull for virtually the entire shift. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally including overhead.    Must be able to work in a wet environment.
