As the Chemical Engineer Lead, you will be accountable for tracking, use, and reduction of TCE. You will be an expert in operating and optimizing the extractor, dryer, oven, decanting, distillation, and solvent recovery systems. Leading the TCE continuous improvement team, you will increase efforts to minimize emissions and improve efficiency, ensuring all processes are compliant and up to date. Additionally, you will conduct cause analyses, facilitate corrective actions, and use statistical analysis to enhance solvent recovery processes. Key Responsibilities Extractor, dryer, oven, decanting, distillation, and solvent recovery system expert Lead regular meetings with the plant team to improve with regards to TCE emissions. Track assignments / completion Work with Operations and Maintenance teams to implement instrumentation and process equipment upgrades. Ensure all related processes are up to date and train supervisors and operators accordingly. TCE continuous improvement team leader Lead regular meetings with the plant team to improve with regards to TCE emissions and track assignments to completion Work with Operations and Maintenance teams to implement instrumentation and process equipment upgrades. Identify ways to improve the solvent recovery processes and work with operations team to implement recommendations. Work with the Maintenance and Operations team to ensure that the equipment is maintained, especially during plant wide outages. Along with EHS, monitors compliance with Barberton's Title V air permit, notifies leadership of any deviations, and ensures corrective actions. Monitor LDAR Program for compliance with inspections and leak repairs/ record keeping. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in chemical engineering or process control engineering BS Chemical engineering (or some background in chemistry/science) PPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
