Responsibilities

Position Summary:

As our Director of Community Health Outreach, you will lead the efforts to implement community health and community benefit practices that improve community health and help to fulfill the mission of Dignity Health / CommonSpirit Health. You will oversee community benefit program strategy, implementation, and evaluation, to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements for non-profit hospitals, and to fully represent the hospital's community benefit story. This includes coordination with facility and market finance, mission integration, community health, and other departmental staff to ensure the timely and accurate reporting of community benefit expenses and contributions. You will help integrate community health and community benefit programming into an ongoing process of planning, budgeting, and operations.

Our ideal candidate will have experience managing multiple large community health/benefit programs, conducting Community Needs Assessments, and writing and executing grants.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Minimum five years fundraising experience required.

  • Minimum five years experience in a managerial position with responsibility for supervising and evaluation staff performance required.

  • Excellent writing and computer skills required.

Required Licensure:

  • Fire Safety card required within 90 days of hire.

Pay Range

$46.76 - $67.80 /hour
