Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who thrives in a busy work environment and is well-versed in working closely with senior management.
Responsibilities:
Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
Maintain and balance general ledger daily.
Verify that transactions are recorded appropriately in the correct daybook, suppliers ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger.
Conduct regular internal audits and prepare financial reports.
Reconcile the bank statements.
Generate customer invoices, check their payment status, and oversee overdue accounts.
Maintain the petty cash fund, provide cash to clients and employees, and reconcile cash transactions.
Liaise with external auditors or advisors as needed.
Complete tax forms.
Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
Provide necessary financial information for the company's accountant.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly budgets and forecasts.
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar field.
At least 2 years of experience as a Bookkeeper.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particular advanced skills in Excel.
Strong data entry skills.
Excellent knowledge of general accounting principles.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
