Brief Description
The Senior Accountant is responsible for:
Applying generally accepted accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information.
Possesses a solid understanding of not-for-profit accounting principles.
Reconcile balance sheet account as assigned.
Proficient in leadership competencies related to leading self.
Specific Duties
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Monthly analysis, journal entries, and reconciliation of various revenue/expense and balance sheet accounts.
Assist in the preparation of audit schedules including financial statements and disclosures for the Foundation.
Assist with the generation of information for outside accounting firm in preparation of the annual 990-T returns for the Foundation.
Manage the monthly closing of the Foundation books.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills Required/Preferred

Must be well organized.
Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
Professional:
Knowledge of standard financial concepts, practices, and procedures..
Must be able to meet critical deadlines.
Ability to succeed with managing change in a complex organization.
Technical:
Proficient in Microsoft products
Experience preferred with Microsoft Dynamics D365
Education/Experience
Education
- Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance.
Experience
- At least 3-5 years financial related work experience.
