Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Metals USA takes large coils of metals (stainless, aluminum, copper, steel) and uses a crane to load them into a machine that will cut them into smaller coils or large sheets of metals. This is a Union shop, so after 90 days, employees join the Union.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for equipment and machinery repair, including conveyors, slitters, edgers, and cut-to-length machines.
Work with other technicians to perform scheduled maintenance tasks on a daily and weekly basis.
Perform reactive maintenance as needed.
Hours:
Monday to Friday: 7am-3:30pm (start at 5am before shift)
Saturday: 5am-1pm or 7am-3pm (can choose, required when needed with 24 hours' notice from Union)
Compensation: $28 - $30/hr.

Work Environment
There are a total of 30 production employees. There are overhead cranes throughout the facility for loading coils into machines or onto trucks. Trucks drive into the facility for loading. The machines cut large metal coils into smaller coils or large sheets of metals. Employees will also participate in the crating area, which is a carpentry shop for making crates.
