Job Title: General Labor - 3rd Shift
Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our 3rd shift general labor team. As a family-owned company located in Northbrook, IL, we manufacture car parts for SUVs and trucks. Due to increased demand in the automotive industry, we are extremely busy and need reliable team members to help with our production process.
Responsibilities
Work in a very hot environment, heat treating car parts.
Take parts and place them in the furnace to bake, then remove hot parts to the cooling rack.
Perform repetitive tasks throughout the day.
Assemble cooled parts on a shaft for shipping, which can weigh up to 20-30 lbs.
Operate machinery and hand tools for production and assembly.
Sort and inspect parts as needed.
Perform metal stamping and other heat-treating tasks.
Essential Skills
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Ability to work in a hot environment with temperatures exceeding 80 degrees.
6+ months of prior manufacturing or machine operating experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in general labor, production, machine operation, and assembly.
Knowledge of heat treating processes and metal stamping.

Work Environment
Our work environment is a hot manufacturing setting due to the nature of working around furnaces. We operate electric heat treating ovens to harden transmission parts and create patterns that prevent overheating. The facility operates three 8-hour shifts each day from Monday to Friday, with scheduled shift times including paid lunch and breaks. We provide lots of fans for cooling to ensure a comfortable working atmosphere.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Northbrook, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.50
