Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. Security Guard - Data Centre Physical Security in North York, Ontario
We are seeking Security guards for some positions at data centres across the GTA. We are looking for individuals with a high level of customer service and security experience. Priority to those with a strong customer service background.

Position Overview:
Wages: $25.00/hr
Shifts: Morning, Afternoons (Monday to Friday)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform access control provision duties, verify visitors coming on-site.
Screen client employees and contractors with handheld wand metal detection devices.
Ask individuals a series of questions to screen for prohibited items.
Provide outstanding customer service to client employees and contractors.
Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.
Monitor CCTV footage and cameras for irregularities and perform dispatch duties for the site including emergency response.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Ontario Security License
Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response.
Be able to work under pressure in a changing environment.
Understand the importance of personnel screening and escalate to supervisor when necessary.
Be able to sit for long periods of time in an isolated area.
3 years of security experience or 5 years of customer service experience with direct customer facing experience.
Eligibility for reliability clearances required for data centre positions.
Other Information:
No cell phones, recording devices or any other electronic devices are allowed while security guard is on post.
Candidate must be able to sit for long periods of time in very isolated areas.
Candidates are permitted to bring a novel or academic material to read at their post.
Must be able to adhere to strict security measures.
