As a Starbucks partner resources business partner (PRO BP), you are a strategic business partner and advocate. You’ll lead initiatives supporting excellence in talent development and the partner experience investing in our most valuable asset: our partners.  We take pride in all of our partners modeling and acting in accordance with the Starbucks guiding principles, and as a PRO BP, you will be a leader in this space.

As a partner resources business partner, you will:

  • Collaborate – Partners with your Partner Resources Director, specialist teams and cross- functional teams to ensure clients' organizational needs are met and assists in the development and leadership of strategic programs

  • Serve as an advocate – Solicits and listens to partners' concerns and, takes an active role in resolving problems. Provides information, or facilitates partners' ability to obtain information, about benefits, compensation, training and other Partner Resources programs and services

  • Support – Develops and implements Partner Resources strategic plans, tactics, and projects. Integrates company-wide Partner Resources strategic plans, projects and objectives into client business units, departments, and regions.

  • Influence – Provides consultation and support to managers on partner relations issues and applicable company policies and employment laws.  Facilitates partner learning and development, retention strategies, succession planning and career development in accordance with Starbucks Mission Statement and Core Values.

  • Analyze – Conducts research on Partner Resources program activity, prepares reports and presentations.

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • Previous experience as a human resources generalist or HR specialist.

  • Two or more years of project management experience an asset.

  • Demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo and speak up on behalf of partners, even when it’s hard

  • Strong business acumen working with operations teams in field/store locations.

  • Demonstrated ability to connect quickly with all partners and influence positive outcomes that drive results.

  • Strong coaching skills at senior levels – must be comfortable giving feedback to RDs/RVPs and other leaders

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with an ability to deal with the ambiguity associated with an ever-changing organization.

  • Three or more years consulting with internal clients to identify business needs and recommended solutions.

  • Two or more years of project management experience an asset.

  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that may include some evenings, weekends.
