Job Description
Plans activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for light modular processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities
Interprets Electrical, Fire Detection, and Telecom engineered drawings, modular shop drawings, and mechanical drawings. Confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
Progressively inspect modular camp units during the installation phase including framing, architectural, and mechanical systems to ensure conformance with engineered drawings and project quality standards.
Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
Recording of testing data, interpretation of results per project quality standards, and electronic input for project turnover.
Interfaces with procurement, supervision, and management to coordinate and resolve quality-related issues/concerns.
Provide guidance to workers on Company and Project quality requirements.
Maintain a working knowledge of the latest codes.
Other duties as assigned.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent or ten (10) years directly related experience will be considered.
Minimum five (5) years’ experience as a licensed Journeyman Electrician.
Current Alaska Electrical Journeyman Fitness License.
Driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.

The employee is occasionally required to use hands to handle or feel and climb or balance. Steel toed boots required on the job.
