ORBIT IRRIGATION Facilities Maintenance Technician in NORTH SALT LAKE, Utah

A Day in the Life of the Facilities Maintenance Technician
The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for completing maintenance work orders, applying finishes to equipment and structures, ensuring the building remains clean and orderly, arranging repairs, collaborating with contractors, assisting in electrical installations, assisting with capital expense justifications, planning upcoming work, and performing basic plumbing and carpentry tasks. Additionally, the Facilities Maintenance Technician will conduct preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
What are the requirements for this position?
- 1-3 years of related experience
- Must have basic carpentry, plumbing, electric, and mechanical skills
- Must have a valid driver license

Job Responsibilities:
- Completes maintenance work orders
- Applies paint, stain, varnish, enamel, or other finishes to equipment, buildings and other structures using brushes, spray guns, or rollers
- Keeps the building in a clean/orderly condition by examining the building on a regular basis for needed repairs
- Performs or arranges general building and fixture repairs
- Works closely with contractors
- Assists in the installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures based on job specifications
- Assists in the development of capital expense justifications for facility replacement or repair
- Plans upcoming work
- Performs basic plumbing and carpentry
- Performs preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment
