Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Staff - Public . The role involves managing tax assessments, ensuring compliance with tax laws, preparing tax returns, and assisting in financial planning strategies. This job is in the accounting industry and will involve collaboration with financial departments to implement effective tax policies. The role of the Tax Accountant will require minimal travel (in state), and provide you an opportunity to run your own book of business without the stress of owning your own firm.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately compute taxes owed by reviewing financial records.
• Regularly interpret tax regulations to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Prepare tax returns and necessary paperwork for individuals and businesses.
• Provide advice to clients on tax-related issues and financial planning strategies.
• Conduct internal audits and recommend changes to ensure financial legality.
• Collaborate with financial departments to establish and implement effective tax policies.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, budgets, and reports to track the financial health of a business.
• Work with federal, state, and local tax agencies to resolve any tax-related issues.
• Perform tax research and planning to mitigate tax liabilities.
• Assist in the development of financial forecasts and fiscal budgeting.
Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
• CPA or CPA Designation
• Experience with Annual Tax procedures
• Ability to handle Complex Tax Returns
• Knowledge in Corporate Tax Return
• Experience with Consolidated Tax Return
