Who will you be working with?

This role will develop practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals. The individual will be responsible for work that is less defined in scope, have the understanding and experience to execute business objectives, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

How will you make a difference?

This position is responsible for the safety and productivity of all production employees staffed in the department. Additionally, position is accountable for ensuring that production scheduled for completion is executed in a timely manner and within all quality parameters.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Technical discipline from a accredited college or university ( or Associate's degree in Technical discipline with minimum 2 years of professional work experience, or a high school diploma / GED with minimum 4 year of Operations or Military experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of Operations or Engineering experience

  • Willingness and ability to work various shifts, various days (24/7 coverage required for Work order team support

What will your typical day look like?

  • Provide Technical expertise to railroad employee, management, Wabtec employees, including;

  • Troubleshooting, material handling, tooling, safety

  • Procedures and contract requirement clarification

  • Provide Training / mentor ship to customer and Wabtec employees

  • Coordinate and provide instruction on key programs and procedures

  • Provide clear communication to customer employees, customer management and Wabtec management on work to be performed, equipment status, productivity and process improvements and liaison with other departments as necessary

  • Work with customer employees and manage to promote, maintain and drive continuous improvement is safe work practices, while mentoring productivity, quality, assurance and adherence to contract requirements

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, OSHA work practices and industry / site specific work rules

  • Make risk assessment balancing customer request with Wabtec requirements

  • Establish production plan for labor, material and logistics.

  • Work with various software systems to manage material, labor plans and other systemic requirements

  • Enforce all safety and processing procedures

  • Enable effective communication between management and operators.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work place in accordance with 5S protocol

  • Investigate and report all incidents (spills, accidents, poor performance)

  • You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
