AAA Mid Atlantic Staff Assistant in North Plainfield, New Jersey

What we can offer you:

  • Convenient Store Hours: Monday - Friday, 8AM to 6PM, and Saturday, 8AM to 5PM

  • Competitive Compensation: The starting base compensation for this position is $22.69 to $29.00 hourly. The base pay range shown is a guideline for compensation and ultimate salary offered will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location.

The primary duties of the Staff Assistant are:

  • Consistently up-sell/cross-sell AAA products including new memberships, credit cards, and insurance referrals

  • Plan domestic travel vacations (car rentals, hotels, vacation packages, maps, tour books, and triptiks)

  • Answer incoming overflow calls for Roadside Assistance during high call volumes

  • Serves as the lead and mentor of title clerks and oversee that title process is being completed accurately

  • Support the Retail Manager to help enhance the customer experience by leading associates to success and promoting our Shared Values.

  • Lead, guide, and direct the daily operations of the Retail Store, including administrative and associate-related issues in the absence of the Retail Manager

  • Serve as backup to the cashiers

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Have a high school diploma/GED

  • Minimum of three (3) years of previous sales and/or customer service experience

  • Have effective communication skills both written and oral

  • Proficient computer skills including the ability to multitask on several websites and programs

  • Ability to read maps and geography knowledge a plus

  • Satisfactory pre-employment and post-employment screening results including criminal, drug, and state and/or vendor specific screenings. This may include ability to obtain necessary Membership license (or others) as required to perform the essential functions of the position.

  • Notary Public designation or the ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Notary Public designation with six (6) months of employment
