Aerotek Cnc Machinist in North Mankato, Minnesota
Job Title: Machinist
Responsibilities
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, written specifications, and schematics.
Set up and operate all available machines and machine tools.
Perform progressive machining operations involving very close tolerances or unusual requirements.
Determine operation sequences.
Use all machinists' hand tools skillfully.
Determine the machinability of metals to select proper tooling and application.
Operate CNC machines with a working knowledge of programming fundamentals.
Ensure work produced consistently meets specifications.
Monitor coolant quality and change coolant as required.
Perform daily and weekly TPM tasks with accuracy and consistency.
Perform other duties as designated by the supervisor in the same salary grade or below.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Two years of machine shop vocational school education or 10,000 hours of applied machine shop experience.
Degree or certificate in CNC.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and make machine adjustments.
Experience with milling machines, lathes, horizontal mills, and virtual machines.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.59 - $28.15
