POSITION: Program Supervisor - Part Time Temporary
SCHEDULE:
Work Schedule - You are required to be able to work any shift (days, swings, or graveyard), any day of the week, to include weekend holidays and overtime.

SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for development and instruction for a variety of specialized programs and is responsible for performance of assigned lead program specialist duties.
MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience
- Minimum age of 18 years
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Two (2) years of training or experience in Recreation, Physical Education, or closely related acceptable field and one (1) year as Program Specialist with the City of North Las Vegas;
- Or Three (3) years of training or experience in Recreation, Physical Education, or closely related acceptable field.
- Bilingual Skills are desired
Licenses and Certifications
The below required certifications are required remain valid and current during employment for the City of North Las Vegas:
- Required to possess a valid Nevada state driver's license/Identification Credential or have the ability to obtain, and maintain a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
- Required to possess a Standard First Aid and CPR Certificate within two weeks of hire prior to performing the essential functions of position. NLS will provide training.
- Required to possess a Clark County Health Card (Food Handler Card) within thirty (30) days of date of hire.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Organizes and supervises early childhood instruction, sports, seniors, mobile recreation, and day camp. Supervises and participates in the development of curriculum and the conduct of programs for the Recreation Division; maintains various program and participation records. Supervises, plans and organizes a variety of activities: arts/crafts, games, special events, sports, music/dance. Schedules work shifts of assigned program specialist staff; monitors work performance of assigned program specialists staff and reports performance to assigned supervisor. Trains assigned program specialists on the policies and procedures applicable to the work. Maintains and submits records and reports, handles money and makes up deposits, organizes registration forms, medical forms, and reviews and submits incident reports. Orders and maintains supplies and equipment for the assigned locations. Collaborate with the participants parents or guardians regarding the participants behavior and discipline. Serves as department representative at assigned league play and special events; officiate sports events as needed. Oversees and ensures the readiness of the building, grounds, and physical facilities. Attends meetings and trainings as assigned. Performs other related duties as required.
