A Day in the Life
Initiate and lead chemistry projects and train and oversee less senior chemists in these projects . This position requires the ability to conduct chemical evaluations in support of new or existing projects or processes. This position will also require analysis of data and writing of protocols and reports in support of these projects.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING AND OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED:
Develops, modifies, applies and maintains protocols for chemical testing methods
Interprets data for extractable and leachable testing
Generates and/or approves reports for extractable and leachable testing
Ensures that testing meets acceptable standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements
Devises or implements testing methods and is able to evaluate the precision and accuracy of the method and equipment
Responsible for advancing existing technology or introducing new technology for chemical testing. Formulates, delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with internal and external customers to achieve desired results. May train other colleagues and direct their work.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree required
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Nice to Have
Knowledge of chemical instrumentation and testing methods especially LC-QTOF
Ability to interpret mass spectral data
Experience with GC or ICP
