Cape Associates, Inc is actively searching for VP of Finance or Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Responsibilities: Assess and evaluate financial performance of organization with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets, and forecasts. Create and establish yearly financial objectives that align with the company?s plan for growth and expansion. Manage, coach, and develop the Accounting and IT Team. Oversee Administrative Assistants for billing purposes. Hold monthly or quarterly meetings with team members to ensure efficiency. Oversee the company?s accounting systems including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, job cost, and as a backup for payroll entry and accounts. Accounts to be reconciled monthly. Prepare pre-tax monthly financial statements: income and balance statements for the corporation and income statements for the departments. Review these statements and any supporting documents with the Senior Leadership team. Prepare and finalize annual sales and overhead budgets with Senior leadership team. Review and reconcile bank statements, assist in cash management control and projection, and enhance overall banking relationships. Requirements for VP of Finance: Bachelor?s degree in accounting or finance. Minimum of 5 years? experience in accounting or finance. Construction experience is strongly preferred. Hands-on experience with financial planning and analysis, cash management, and risk mitigation strategies. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Advanced proficiency with finance and accounting systems and software. Foundation experience is strongly preferred. Requirements for Chief Financial Officer (CFO): MBA, MS in Finance, or related field required. 10 years? experience in Finance, Accounting, or related field. 5 years? experience as a CFO. Construction experience is strongly preferred. Hands-on experience with financial planning and analysis, cash management, and risk mitigation strategies. Advanced proficiency with finance and accounting systems and software. Foundation experience is strongly preferred. Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills. Outstanding communication and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
