Job Description
Under general direction of the Associate Director, Global Security Operations Center Program, this position supervises personnel engaged in Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) functions, including intelligence analyst and communications analyst roles. You'll lead and assign work on a team of analysts responsible for identifying global risks to AbbVie, monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, and effectively communicating with Global Security stakeholders and leadership, risk partners, and AbbVie employees during crisis events. Working with other shift supervisors and regional security operations centers, this position ensures appropriate transition and coordination of GSOC processes and activities. The position also supports Lake County Security Operations as needed with the efficient and safe operations of AbbVie’s physical security program. You must be able to work autonomously using sound decision-making skills when required by the 24/7 nature of the GSOC.
Responsibilities

Oversee designated GSOC shift operations and provide direct supervision to applicable GSOC intelligence analysts. Oversee contract communication analyst on shift to ensure policies, procedures and other requirements are followed.
Provide shift supervision, quality assurance, leadership, and execution of GSOC functions, including global event analysis and escalation, as well as security alarm, surveillance, radio, and fire system processes (working supervisor).
Supervise the appropriate initial response to a security incident on site, or to a severe global event, during shift of responsibility.
Supervise and ensure compliance, training, and certification of all GSOC analysts on shift of responsibility in accordance with applicable Global Security policies and procedures, and GSOC system standards.
Mentor and train new team members through on-the-job training ensuring that they have a full understanding of all processes and procedures.
Evaluate and develop assigned staff. Provide periodic performance feedback and yearly performance reviews. Provide supervision to skilled non-exempt employees and make recommendations regarding employee performance management.
Maintain confidentiality and compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all GSOC and security operations systems, processes and procedures.
Serve on cross-functional or departmental teams and committees as requested, contributing to the development and improvement of GSOC strategies, metrics, and procedures.
Qualifications
High School diploma required. College Degree preferred.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in such areas as security operations and/or intelligence center, emergency dispatch, contact center or equivalent, preferably in a global setting; global security intelligence analysis experience preferred.
Prior public or private sector security experience preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary and the ability to effectively work and interact on a professional level is a must.
Strong attention to detail, prioritization, and organizational skills.
Strong computer skills required; experience with maintaining administration level competencies in various security systems and technologies, including demonstrated capability to operate in a technical and ever-adapting work environment preferred.
Ability to lead a team in dynamic and stressful situations, exercise judgement and make sound decisions quickly with a solution-oriented approach.
Passionate about assisting others to be successful as a team. Prior people leader or supervisory experience preferred.
Ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work various time frames as part of a 24/7 operation as needed.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.

Salary: $62,500 - $118,500
