Job Description

The role of the Business Services Group (BSG) Meeting Account Manager II is to manage US Commercial meetings through successful project management, planning and delivery, while building strong working relationships with the brand teams. The person will own and lead the brand teams, meetings and events team, and vendor teams end-to-end delivery and execution of large, complex All in RDDM and NM Meetings along with other meeting and event activities utilizing standard process and procedures to achieve team satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • 40-50% of time is spent managing and leading the All IN RDDM and NM meeting which spans across all Therapeutic Areas. The ALL IN RDDM and NM meetings are our largest and most complex meetings in terms of size, scope and spend. Budget management up to 32MM. They include participation across multiple Abbvie HQ functions and involve the largest number of stakeholders and meetings for US Commercial.

  • Communicate the service and BSG value proposition to internal stakeholders. Assist internal stakeholders to understand and conform to Abbvie and industry guidelines and standards.

  • Leads ALL IN RDDM and NM meetings in addition to cross-functional stakeholder meetings in assigned therapeutic area, planning, forecasting activities and trends within the assigned Therapeutic Areas.

  • Leads the annual planning/budgeting process within assigned Therapeutic Area, and the All In area cost centers and BSG management.

  • Responsible for the preparation and tracking of budgets, throughout the lifecycle of each meeting.

  • Identify, quantify and report cost avoidance/savings measures on all meetings and events.

  • Acts as Subject Matter Expert for MAM team on training updates and meeting trends, as needed.

  • Leads the onboarding process and manages the training for new MAM team members.

  • Conduct ongoing Event Team Meetings with stakeholders and BSG support colleagues.

  • After full spectrum of meeting and event associated activities have been identified, staffing and resources should be assigned and verified for all housing, venues, F&B, for all meeting activities.

  • Oversee the completion of the invitation and attendee management process per meeting including attendee management reporting in registration system.

  • Travel on-site to manage the successful execution of assigned meetings.

  • Manages logistical suppliers and any internal staffing involved in meeting activities. Manage all meeting requirements and on-site support staff.

  • Attend client debrief sessions post meeting.

  • Project Manage team and cross-functional projects as assigned by management, related to broader BSG Meeting & Event Team initiatives.

  • Travel within the US and internationally; 50% estimated yearly travel.

  • Meeting Management, knowledge of attendee managementm and supplier management with ability to manage multiple project deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business preferred/marketing/Advertising/Hospitality Industry preferred. Equivalent successful industry experience (9 years full time planning) can be considered.

  • Certified CMP/CTSM desirable

  • 9+ years of work experience

  • Good communication/presentation skills, written and verbal and ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment

  • Show high level of initiative and ability to work independently
