Stark State College Senior Programmer/Analyst in North Canton, Ohio

Stark State College is seeking a dedicated and skilled Programmer/Analyst to join our Information Technology team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in programming, systems analysis, and support for users of the College's Banner ERP information systems . This role involves collaborating with various departments and functional users to gather information regarding program needs, objectives and functionality in order to improve system efficiency and support the college's mission of providing high-quality education. This position also edits and writes reports querying the College Oracle database. Salary Range: $62,071 - $80,693 Stark State College offers a competitive salary based on the candidate's experience and qualifications, including an exceptional benefits package. Location of Work: This position is a remote/hybrid (work from home) position with one day a week scheduled in the North Canton, Ohio (Main Campus) office. The right applicant will enjoy working with system management and maintenance, data management and analysis, support of users and project management. Typical Responsibilities Include: Analyze and design complex online business computer applications from conception and design to implementation. This includes conferring with users to identify changing needs or problems, and insuring a smooth interface with concurrent applications.Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, improve performance, or upgrade interfaces.Provide end-user functional support to analyze and correct issues with their respective ERP modules. This includes interfacing with software vendors as needed to troubleshoot issues.Train College personnel in the use of newly developed or modified computer applications. Maintain system, program, and user documentation.Provide the various departments of the college with the necessary electronic data for outside reporting to be in compliance with federal and state regulations. To be Considered You'll Need: Associate's degree, preferably in IT or related fieldThree (3) years of systems design, analysis and programming experiences, preferably in higher education or similar environment Three (3) years of experience using SQL in a relational database environment, preferably Oracle SQL*Plus and PL/SQLDemonstrated ability to analyze and resolve increasingly complex problemsAbility to be an effective communicator (verbally and in writing) along with effective interpersonal skills Click here to review the full job description!
