Robert Half Staff Accountant in North Baltimore, Ohio
Description We are on the search for a Staff Accountant to join our team based in North Baltimore, Ohio. As a Staff Accountant, you will be crucial in managing our financial information and enhancing our accounting procedures. You will be responsible for an array of tasks including the management of accounts payable, preparation of tax returns, and ensuring the accuracy of our financial records.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee all activities related to accounts payable within Oracle, Tungsten & Advance Capture to ensure efficient and accurate processing and payment of invoices.
• Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.
• Prepare and file sales and use tax returns.
• Manage and review expense reports in Concur, and provide assistance to Concur users as needed.
• Work closely with both internal and external auditors on the procure-to-pay process, and provide necessary documentation.
• Evaluate the accounting system and suggest improvements, adaptations, or revisions in procedures.
• Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts, ensuring proper documentation of business transactions.
• Lead and coordinate projects within the accounting function.
• Assist in preparing financial information as required by the Corporate office.
• Assess the need for new or changed controls within the accounting system. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year experience in a Staff Accountant role or related field
• Proficient in handling Accounts Payable (AP) processes
• Demonstrated experience with General Ledger maintenance
• Ability to perform Journal Entries with high accuracy
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Familiarity with Oracle software for accounting tasks
• Knowledge and experience in handling Sales Tax calculations and submissions
