County of Montgomery Office Support Person VI - Public Defender in Norristown, Pennsylvania

SUMMARY

The Office Support Person VI works with a team of staff attorneys in processing client files and overseeing data input as needed. Additionally, this role is responsible for providing support to other members of the office support personnel. Specific duties include filing, answering phones, assisting at the counter, and typing. Additional office support duties may also be assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Timely marking of pretrial and trial lists.
  • Timely typing and filing of Court motions.
  • Typing correspondence as needed by attorneys.
  • Providing administrative support to Pre-Trial, Violation Unit, Behavioral/Veteran Court Unit, Trial Unit, ARD/Violation Unit, Appellate/State Parole Unit;
  • Includes, but is not limited to: typing correspondence, filing motions with appellate courts, mailing briefs and other duties as needed by unit.
  • Closing trial files.
  • Telephone customer service.
  • Perform additional duties as specified by the Office Manager and Unit Chief.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • General knowledge of office workflows.
  • Must type min. 45 wpm (typing test required).
  • Must possess a high attention to detail.
  • Experience in using Office 365, including OneDrive, Dynamics and related apps.
  • Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Muse be able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Fluency in Spanish highly preferred, but not required.
